Ian has been rallying for a long time and was an overall winner of the Wyedean Rally in an MG Metro 6R4 in 1989. These days he campaigns the rare Volvo PV544, one of the oldest cars in Category 1.

Phil returned to the sport in 2014 after nearly 25 years away. His Mini Cooper S was beautifully rebuilt by Rob Smith Rallying.

Back in the early 1990s, Rudi competed against Richard Burns in the Peugeot 205 Challenge before quitting the sport to concentrate on family and business. He returned late in 2014 with an Escort Mk2.

Bob has rallied for many years, both road and stages. Now, he is back with his Mk2 Cortina GT which is driven in his customary tail-out style. Son Dale co-drives.

When not manufacturing parts for Escorts through his engineering business, East Anglian-based Ian goes rallying in his immaculate class C5 Escort Mk1.

David has been rallying since the late 1960s and remains one of the quickest drivers. He is a four-time BHRC champion in his Escort Mk1.

Ben, from Ipswich, is one of the rising young stars of historic rallying and is real class D3 pacesetter in his Escort Mk2.

Rikki and his Porsche 911 have been leading BHRC contenders for several seasons since he switched from an Escort Mk1. The 911 is one of the quickest Category 1 cars.

Works Escort guru Dave is now a leading contender in class C2 in his ex-works Escort Mk1 which was driven in period by Hannu Mikkola.

One of the absolute pacesetters, Matthew won the BTRDA Silver Star and the Roger Albert Clark Rally in 2014.

The hugely experienced Yorkshireman is another driver with a lot of success on his CV including the 1997 BTRDA Gold Star title in a Metro 6R4. Now he rallies an Escort Mk1.

One of the new stars of historic rallying has a very successful road rallying background and won a hat-trick of Welsh titles. He also builds and prepares Escorts for customers at Wales Motorsport Fabrications.

The Suffolk farmer is quick and consistent in the Escort Mk2 built and tended by co-driver Frank Richer. The harvest season dictates his rallying calendar.

Phil and his twin brother Mick are stalwarts of historic rallying with their Escort Mk2, while their business Rally and Competition Equipment supplies many crews.

Back in 2015 after a couple of years out of rallying, Rupert is one of the quickest drivers in class C5. When not rallying, he competes in autograss.

Mike and his partner/co-driver Shaun (pronounced ‘Sharn’) are quick and consistent in class D5 with their Escort Mk2.

Chris has raced and rallied extensively over the years and is now enjoying having BDA power in his Escort Mk1.

After 25 years out of rallying, Malcolm made a comeback at the start the 2015 season in his Ford Anglia. He’d clearly not forgotten how to do it!

Edmund joined the Porsche 911 ranks relatively recently for a crack at historic rallying; though he has also contested some long-distance adventures.

Another leading contender in overall terms, West Wales-based Tomas is also renowned for his asphalt pace and is a former winner on the Ulster Historic Rally.

When he has the time to campaign his self-prepared Escort Mk2, Alan is among the very quickest. He also co-drives at times and is pretty good on the notes.

It has been a quiet couple of seasons for the Yorkshire-based Porsche 911 driver, who has the speed to worry the Escorts in class C5.

A welcome change to the Escort ranks is the V4 Saab 96 and Colin pedals it very well indeed. Among his best results has been knocking on the door of the top 10 on the Roger Albert Clark Rally.

More often found preparing cars for other drivers, Grahame is also a very quick driver in his own right with his 1600cc class D2 Escort Mk2.

Ian was new to the historic scene in 2014 in a fresh Escort Mk2 from Meirion Evans. He capped a good BHRC season with ninth overall on the Roger Albert Clark Rally.

Moving to historics has taken Neil onto gravel events for the first time and he completed a limited programme in 2014 in his immaculate Escort Mk2.

Terry remains one of the quickest Escort Mk2 drivers despite being the top side of 70 years-old. He works hard at his rallying and prepares the car himself.

Chris is busy with Ford Escorts through his Montescorts business and is rallying his 1600cc car in class D2 with great success.

Another rising young star, Ben is following his father Dai into rallying with an Escort Mk2 and support from Brace’s Bread.

Simon came back to rallying in 2013 after a long break and is a leading contender in class C5. For 2015 he acquired the ex-Steve Magson Escort Mk1.

After 10 years away competing on two-wheels, the former BTRDA front-runner has returned in historics in 2015 with the ex-Russell Morgan Escort Mk1.

South Wales-based Neal has rallied extensively in his Escort Mk1 but for 2015 moved to a Mk2 formerly used in road rallying.

Making a very welcome return after several years away from rallying, Brian is back out in 2015 in his Porsche 911.
